On April 25th, Changan Mazda's first electric sedan, and also the first electric model of a joint venture brand based on a leading pure electric digital platform - MAZDA EZ-6 (hereinafter referred to as EZ-6), made its global debut at the 2024 Beijing International Auto Show. As a new model that deeply integrates the innovative achievements and automotive heritage of Changan Automobile and Mazda, two century old car companies, in the fields of electrification, intelligence, design, handling, and safety, EZ-6 has established a new value standard for joint venture new energy vehicles with multiple debut technologies and configuration advantages in the joint venture new energy sedan field. The new car will provide both pure electric and extended range power options, and will be launched within 2024. After the global debut of EZ-6, the concept model of Changan Mazda's second electric vehicle - MAZDA RATA - also made its debut at the exhibition booth. The new car is aimed at "expanding positive forward and enjoying the current crowd", and strives to create new value through deep "co creation" with Changan Automobile. MAZDA creates ARATA with a stylish and luxurious appearance, specially designed for Chinese users who pursue avant-garde. The electric SUV developed based on the concept car will be mass-produced and launched on the market in 2025, competing with the EZ-6 in the domestic new energy market. From EZ-6 to MAZDA's creation of ARATA, Mazda brand hopes to usher in a new era of innovation in the Chinese automotive market.
